Last month, a 5.2 magnitude earthquake shook us awake. At first, Ndlula, Umngani, Khosi, and youngsters Zuli and Mkhaya scampered in different directions, bodies drumming the land’s growling belly. Each then bolted back to the enclosure’s center. Backing in, they faced out at the world beyond the San Diego Zoo. Welcome to KHÔRA’s INTERIOR ROOMS
"If the greatest thing you think a story can do is be published, well, you’ve never seen a story grow teeth or bloom 620 bulbs in one season..."
KHÔRA’s INTERIOR ROOMS opens today with Melissa Leto. We begin with Ritual — a room to explore intimate rituals from some of our favorite writers and artists. It’s a space where they’ll pull back the curtain on daily practices, sacred spaces, and the creative rhythms that fuel their work. This private room is available exclusively to our subscribers.
KHÔRA the magazine stays free, but a paid subscription is an invitation to dive beneath the surface. If you’re ready to explore new realms, this is your moment. If you’ve been waiting for the right moment, this is your knock.
See you inside,

KHÔRA's INTERIOR ROOMS with Melissa Leto
It’s different every time. I know it’s moving when the ritual takes up more than one room, when the space I need grows and grows…
